  • General Description
    • پتاسیم فسفات پودری سفیدرنگ، نمگیر و محلول در آب است که برای خالص کردن بنزین، نرم کردن آب، ساختن شربت های مایع و حاصلخیزکننده ها در کشاورزی به کار می رود.

  • Synthesis
    • (1) Neutralization method: 50% phosphoric acid solution was added into the corrosion-resistant reaction tank, and the neutralization reaction was carried out under stirring through adding 30% potassium hydroxide solution with the mole ratio of phosphoric acid: potassium hydroxide being 1: 2. The pH value is controlled at around 8.5~ 9. The reaction will generate dipotassium phosphate solution. It is then sent to the second neutralizer by adding 30% potassium hydroxide solution for neutralization reaction with the end point controlled at pH = 14, resulting in potassium phosphate solution with being evaporated to until the relative density of 1.38 ~ 1.46. It is then send through the crystallizer for being cooled to 60 °C or less; further centrifuged to generate the finished product of tri-potassium phosphate. Alternatively, it can be also obtained through directly sending the concentrated tri-potassium phosphate for centrifugal separation while hot without going through the cooling crystallizer. The separated mother liquor is returned to the evaporator. Its reaction equations are as below: H3PO4 + 2KOH → KzHPO4 + 2H2O K2HPO4 + KOH → K3PO4 + H2O (2) Industrial production of tri-potassium phosphate generally applied the neutralization of caustic potash solution and phosphate. Neutralization method, see potassium phosphate, the difference is that, it is needed to add arsenic removal agent and heavy metals removal agent for solution purification, filtration to remove impurities such as arsenic and heavy metals. (3) Through the reaction between arsenic-removing edible grade phosphoric acid and KOH solution reaction, evaporation and concentration for crystallization to obtain the monohydrate product with being heated to 300-500 ° C into an anhydrous salt.

  • Usage
    • (1) Emulsifier, potassium fortifier; flavoring agent; meat binder; preparation of pasta products with alkaline water. According to the provision of the FAO(1984), its application and limited amount is as below: instant broth; total phosphate salt: 1000 mg/kg (calculated based on P2O5); cooked pork forelegs, ham, cooked minced meat 3g / kg (single usage amount or combination amount with other phosphate, calculated on P2O5); low concentrated milk powder, condensed milk, dilute cream: 2 g/kg (single usage amount); combination amount with other stabilizer: 3 (calculated on anhydrous substance); milk powder, processed cheese: 5g / kg; processed cheese, the total amount of phosphate 9g / kg (calculated as phosphorus); cold drink: 2g / kg (single usage amount or combination amount with other phosphate, calculated on P2O5). (2) In the food industry, it is used as emulsifier, potassium fortifier, flavoring agent, meat binder. It can be used for the preparation of pasta products with alkaline water.It can be used for the manufacture of liquid soap, refined gasoline, high-quality paper, being the phosphorus and potassium fertilizers. It can be used as boiler water softener. Also used in medicine. (3) It can be used as analytical reagent, buffer and softener, also used in the manufacture of liquid soap. (4) For the manufacture of liquid soap, high-quality paper, refined gasoline; food industry apply it as emulsifiers, enhancers, flavoring agent and meat binder; can also be used as fertilizer.
